These pens I use all year long I put 1 rooster with 3 hen depending on what breed they are its just a pen with a dog house in them but the non cold hardy breeds in the winter I wrap a tarp around there pens but this is what I use all year its cheap and easy and the birds are fine and healthy

I KNEW I was overdoing it with my coop!

Note to self - if we settle in a "mild winter" climate when hubby is out of the Marines - don't go this crazy about the coop again! Thanks for posting!

lol no prolem one day I was thinking of building a coop and I was like wow this is much cheaper and easier especially when My only income is breeding chickens.
