This may be a silly question?

I got first eggs yesterday. My question is, could they be from 1 girl?? The reason I ask is I only saw one in the nesting box. 2 of the eggs were thin shelled on the pointed end and the other 1 was a perfect little brown egg.

Or did 3 girls lay 3 eggs? Kinda confused about this.

Thanks

I read that it takes approximately 25 hours for each hen to lay an egg. So, unless it's been a while since you've checked the nest boxes, I'd say you have three girls laying. Congrats!

I agree that it's most likely three laying. But when they first start, it can take a while for things to run smoothly. Sometimes I have a newly laying pullet lay twice in one day. More often I have new layers skip more days than they should. It generally all sorts itself out pretty soon though.
