It's my understanding that doubles rarely work out well. I've heard many people say that one or both don't make it, and often it's not a pleasant death.

Sometimes only one starts and the dead yolk kills it. If both start often one still dies and takes the other out. It rarely ends well.

Although one can find some videos of "successful" but assisted twin egg hatches on yout*be, I would not try it, as in addition to the already mentioned reasons, one twin might (partially) absorb the other leading to impairment or even inability to develop properly.
