Since both my vet and another member's vet recommended daily calcium supplements when our ducks had similar issues I would give her at least a few days of supplementation, personally.

Do you see her eating oyster shells?

yes, she does eat them- she also gets her egg shells fed back-
do you think I should continue giving her calcium gluconate each day until her laying normalises, then?
I am very much hoping that she doesn't lay multiple a day again, at least not for a while- I dont even want her to lay a single egg after the day she's had

Follow @KaleIAm since she has experience with this. When I have one lay soft shell I give them cal glu until they lay at least two normal eggs in a row. Not same day.

will do! Spright is a bit happier today! quacking to the world, running about. I plan to give her some more calcium gluconate this afternoon, keeping doses roughly 24 hours apart- unless she shows any signs of trouble again, then I will give it to her early. I think she'll be okay- but I'm still a little shocked that she had two eggs stuck

I know it is worrisome when they aren't doing normal laying . Hopefully, the cal glu will get her back on track.
Good to hear she is much better today and her happy self.
