He is a beauty! Look at the tint of dark buff in his feathers! Looks like a Calico Orpington LOL! It would be interesting to see how it will turn out on his babies!

Those pullets are huge too so it is not a problem.
Ewe it must be the lighting on the color he doesn't have any buff coloring in his feathers. I am just interested to see how the chicks feather out. As you know the mama hen moulted out black again with a few white spots and some more turning again. I can't imagine him moulting black but we will see. I will all the pullets I hatch and breed them back as they should have two genes for this color then.
