This seems like the most likely place to post this

I've added some pix of the progress I'm making now that spring is "just around the corner."

I'm loving your set up. Great find. Good luck.

That's a lot of structure to work with, interior framing looks to be in pretty good shape.

I'd check the roofs (the one on the right looks weird, is that just the pic?) and strip everything out of the insides and store it in one of the buildings and plan to configure it to my chicken keeping plans. A lot of material there to work with.

Were there chickens in there recently? Disinfecting might be a consideration.

Thank you for your reply and good comments, Aart.

1. The framing is in excellent shape. The structure is built on corner posts cemented into the ground, then framed with 2x4 studs 24" on center. I would like 16", but it is a coop not a house.

2. The rafters and sheating are in good shape. The fascia is bowed and that is what gives it that strange appearance. I do think the current roosts could be greatly simplified. It is a 12'x8' building. I was thinking 24-25 chickens would be all it would handle "comfortably." I guess following the 2sf rule, I could go up to 48, but that seems awfully crowded for the chickens and a lot more work for me. The four nest boxes may need to be augmented, but there is room to add another one or two if need arises.

3. It has been a LOOONG time since chickens were there. I'm guessing about 25 years or so, based on the most recent calendar I found on the wall in the brooder room was 1989.
