This is only done by certain ladies and on the days they do it you KNOW they have eggs coming!

One of my ladies would preach a full hour long sermon at the top of her lungs making sure everyone was paying attention.. until no-one was.. then she discretely and quickly disappeared to her hidden nest!

I agree though.. It's completely normal and quite entertaining once you're sure there's no cause for concern.

My Buff Orpington make this sound all the time. She seems like she does it when I approach the run and she wants to be let out into the yard.
