I got these little guys from local feed stores, so I am unsure how old they are at the oldest they were two weeks when I got them and now they may be 3. One is a bantam silver polish strait run. And the other one the man said should be a pullet but he was unsure and unsure of the breed. Well I am positive he is a Cochin and that he is a rooster, he has already started to grow a waddle that is turning red.

The banty has more feather though it could be little older...

My question is could this be a Bantam Cochin? here are some photos next to one I am positive is a banty... what do you think??

That bird looks to be LF. Bantam cochins look much more fragile as chicks, and are much smaller at that age. Here are some bantam cochins a little younger than yours next to some bantam polish and silkies:

I got mine from the standard bin at our feedstore. She is the same size as our standards. They did have bantams too in a separate box. I have no idea what she is. They weren't selling any cochins, what do you think mine is??
Ours look very similar. She definitely isn't anything they had on their list. She looks more like a buff d'uccle?? I have no idea.

I was also thinking d'Uccle. A side "mug-shot" would help.

I guess I am thinking that the feathering on the feet looks d'Uccle. Don't they have heavy feathering and cochins have lighter (sparse)?

ETA: Nevermind I just looked on Feathersite and there are some cochins with really heavy foot feathering...... Nevermind.

that is what I keep thinking is that he looks and feels "bulkier" that the polish bantams but then I have read it depends on the kind of breed of bantam as to how big they are as they grow.... also I was in another feed store and they had some that looked just like Sox (thats his name) and they were marked as Bantam so I don't know!??? thanks everyone for posting!
