This time my Daddy says "No, I'm not a roo"

I'm 90% sure that I have a 4 week old Barred Rock GUY. His daddy on the other hand says no way. I've read all the posts I can find on feet coloring, detailed combs, other predictions, etc. The more I think about it, I'm 95% sure of a roo. I have 4 identicals. They have NO pink forming on their combs as of yet but from 8 days old, their comb has been extremely detailed. What do you think?

Looks pretty girly to me. How does his/her coloring compare to the others?? In the barred pattern, boys are a lot whiter looking, and girls are predominately black.
Also you can compare the size of his/her legs to the ones that you think are girls. Boys have fat legs, sometimes that will help you figure it out.

Example: (these are barred Cuckoo Marans, but the lighter male seems to hold true for Barred Rocks as well)
Can you pick the girl out of these 3 butts without even seeing the combs?

On a good note, I'm praying my black hen's butt looks just as beautiful as yours.

I have the same breed and they all look like this I even call one stripe cause of the very same stripe although I don't think this one is as old as you think it is cause mine are more feathered out and have the pink showing around the comb yet they are the same age as you are saying this one is, so I would give it another week or so to see if it get pink around it's comb But I am going with it not being a roo but you can look to see if it has bumps where the spurs will be later if not chances are it isn't this is not a way to be sure but it has worked for me the one that I think is a roo so far has bumps comein out where the spurs should be at.
Short of crowing you really won't know for sure.

Looks like a girl to me with those dark legs, dark feathers and the comb is smaller than my little 5 week old cockeral. He is the one on the left.

try this old trick to get a better idea. Drop a soft blanket or paper towel over him and if he runs away then he is a hen but if he looks up and stares at it as it falls over him then he is a most likely a girl

I'll bet it is if he stares/looks up as it drops on him it is a "he."
