...because we're talking wild American robin eggs.
I found two blue eggs lying on the ground out in the open yesterday. There were no trees around and the eggs were 10-15 feet away from the barn. They were about five feet apart. I picked them up and put them in my incubator. This morning I candled them and they were both partially developed. What would cause this happening? Perhaps another bird robbing the nest?

Could be a crow, starling or Squirrel that carried them off.

I think they got too cold before I found them... Neither of them continued to develope.
