This was sold to me as a Delaware hen. Any idea what it actually is? I think it may also be a rooster. :(

This White "hen" was sold to me as a Delaware hen chick. Any idea what it actually is? I think it may also be a rooster. It doesn't fit any of the breeds the feed store was selling so I think it was a mess up with the hatchery delivery. If it is a rooster I really need to give it away. I can't have crowing because I live in a neighborhood. I would like some idea what it actually is. There is no spur yet. :(

I completely agree. Unfortunately, everyone that has gotten roosters in their order is now realizing it so, rehoming one is really tough. Adding that already difficult situation is the new rules on facebook groups, where you could normal post the need for rehoming a farm animal. Now it so ridicules to post anything about rehoming an animal unless you are some kind of non profit org which is going to result in may roosters just being thrown out loose in neighborhoods...which I would not do of course but many do not care. :(

I’ve raised ten pullets in the last year and a half and none have been male. I almost feel guilty 😂
