This was unexpected! It's January AND she's still growing in her spring feathers!

I put it in a homemade incubator, since I don't have a nice one nor can I AFFORD one, nor was I expecting this issue until SPRING. *flails* It's her first, so it might not even be fertile. She definitely wasn't interested in sitting on it, so I didn't leave it in there. AHH!

If it hatches, it will be half snowy call and half Australian Spotted. There's also a snowy drake, but he has not perfected the art of duck lovemaking. He and the spotted drake have a very odd... relationship. *cough* I don't judge. *facepalm* She's only 6 months!

You know these eggs may not be fertile though. You could open one and look for the bulls eye.

I figured they probably won't be, but I thought I'd let them incubate for a couple of days, then take a peek with the candle light. Otherwise, I have no idea what to do with them, lol. Baking, I guess?

She laid another egg today! Suddenly she's a little egg machine. I will never quite understand how the whole system works. I know the science, but the eggs are practically as big as her whole little fluffy bottom.

They do make for some yummy brownies.
It's amazing the size of some of the eggs.
