This weed is all over my future run, is it toxic?

I haven’t been able to ID it but this weed COVERS my future run expansion. Any ideas as to what it is?

Is it flowering yet? I can't tell by the leaves alone what it is. It's unlikely to be toxic but it looks a bit woody. You might consider taking it out and planting grass in it. Or you could cut it o mow it and throw in grass seed.

I can’t tell for certain but it looks like what I know as “bugbane”

The other thing it sorta looks like is young ‘giant ragweed’ sprouts or maybe a similar ragweed....

Cimicifuga racemosa

If it is this it is also called "black cohosh" and is an abortifacient in humans. But it's also a beautiful butterfly plant. It grows quite tall and could provide nice shade.

I wonder if they’ll try to eat it? I saw references to it being quite bitter.
