    Hello everyone,
In my coupe is a Giant Blue Cochin Hen, Giant Black
Cochin Hen, Giant White Cochin Frizzle, Another Giant Cochin, who appears to be a Barred Rock Hen, egg was sold on eBay as White Cochin Frizzle...surprise!! The Roo is a Giant Black Cochin.

I have hatched a few Cochins...What is this color called? I think I may have a Male, what do you think? Baby needs a name...can you suggest a name. I already have a Rooster named Splash.

    Here's the pics.
You can see the Waddles forming here.

It's splash, I would say. At least it looks splash. Cuckoo is a barred pattern. Not sure how you got that color from what you listed, though. You'd have to have bred a blue to blue or a blue to a splash or splash to splash to get a splash. Maybe you have a mottled gene in there that isn't apparent?

He looks kind of regal doesn't he?
Name him something along those lines, or at least a strong type of name maybe.
First thing that comes to mind is Zeus, don't know why.

The color does appear to be splash. He is part silkie. Do you have pics of your other birds?

Forgot to say, I agree about the Silkie cross. I have three poufy-headed ladies in my flock. That looks like a cockerel.

Your black roo is probably really blue, and that is how you ended up with a splash bird.

Now, why didnt I think of that, Jean? DUH, LOL. Yes, it's true that some extremely dark blues appear black, so I bet that's it.
