Those of you that don't use artifical light

Our three ameraucanas are 2 years old and went through a hard molt in the fall. They haven't laid an egg since October either. Getting a little impatient. We also don't use any artificial light and have been feeding them layer feed and they free range all day.

I have been wondering about my girls...I have five different breeds ranging from 4.5 - 9 months and none have layed (or is it laid?) If they lay through the winter of their first year would that be this winter coming up or have I missed the boat entirely???

I didn't get any eggs from our girls for about a month. The 3 black australorps have started again, but the barred rock and buff orpington have been one or two the past week. The 3 cochins haven't laid since October, and I don't expect they'll start again until spring. (I only got them for their fuzzy wuzzy cuteness anyway.) I don't light the coop because I figure if they take this break, they must need it. And I'm lazy.
