Also, sorry to be gone so long. And come back with a question. I raised these two Welshie hens from eggs. One is what I would consider typical, the other is brown headed. Is this gold phase?

I’m curious about this as well. How old are they?

I have 2 welshie girls that are about 5 months and I think one of mine is also good phase, she looks just like yours.

They are 5 months and new layers. I thought the brown head would go away but it got darker. Love her anyway.

Oh really? Dang it! My other welshie that I thought was silver phase might be gold too then. She’s still got a dark head that I thought would go away.

Still waiting on my to start laying, hoping they aren’t waiting for spring! They just turned 5 months Monday.
