OH YES another one bites the dust

Yah DH was shocked i got a big bator-then shocked I didnt fill it first go round-then walks into kitchen last night with a 1 week old bantam lav Am and says "Isnt she the prettiest little bumble bee???" WHAT???? Then asks what I just filled the bator with in excitement! It working slowly but surely!!!

I thought my DW would be the same way when I started hatching years ago but she still cares nothing about it but she does like the eggs and meat.

I caught Dh looking at my Murray McMauuray Hatchery catalog last night. I asked what he was doing because he wants nothing to do with my chickens. He said "I'm just looking to see of there is anything I want" I about fell over

my DH asks everyday when he get home if "we have baby ducks yet" today is day 29 i'm sure he will ask again when he gets home today. when i bought the incubator he was like what you buy that for?
then he was like why did you put 40 plus eggs in there. after six plus years i think i am starting to get him hooked.

My husband "doesn't like it" either.


But yesterday he came to tell me that the water light was on on my digi mini-RCOM incubator. Hmmm he must be checking it more often than I am, but he'd never admit it!!

This cannot end well......

My DH did the same thing, but he keeps changing his mind! He didn't want the incubator. Then he bought one so I didn't have to build one. Then he complained about chicks in the house. So he went out and bought a brooder for them. He put it IN THE BASEMENT! Then he complained about chicks in the house. I moved it outside to the coop. Then he bought me a cabinet bator. Then he complained about all the chicks I was hatching

This is still going on to this day! He bought another brooder setup for in the basement last month. Then more chicks hatched and he complained again.
