Yeah they thought was funny until was sitting out with a bb gun one night and installed a night vision motion detection camera after found my Alpha hen with her neck rung then next day they tried to steal a hen, she probably pecked em as she was close to hatching her eggs out there was a could drops of blood in her nest . Rooster isn't going no where, even the neighbor hood kids like to come talk to him though they tend to keep a fence between them, that particular neighbor got caught on camera,Wow, that's pretty wild... are you sure it was them??
If so... I would not put killing a rooster above them.

Roosters are no match for most of my predators so I don't expect protection from them. But I can see how every situation is unique. 2 legged egg thieves here would be something along the lines of a raven or crow. Thankfully nothing on the ground makes it past my dogs.![]()
