I used to ride motorcycles and we had an acronym for a phrase we'd use to chide riders who went down and got scraped up- ATGATT. All The Gear All The Time.
I'm currently a truck driver and we have to write an incident report for any injuries suffered on the job. There's a special place on the form for what Personal Protective Equipment we were using at the time and another section for any PPE we SHOULD have been using.
This last week would've resulted in a book's worth of incident reports.

She's still setting on 14 eggs after moving her nest about 3' to the right to be under the shelter of a trailer. She's turned into a vicious harpy which hisses and bites of anything gets within striking range. She grabbed one of the chickens that tried coming close and rag-dolled it, keeping a beakfull of feathers as a trophy.

Three or four more days left in the countdown.

You have a wonderful way with words and should consider writing. Probably not children's books though.
