LOL about the Silkies.. So far nothing in the traps again & I am Thankful Very Thankful... But last night not 10 feet from the RIR & Silkies were 3 deer, 1 BIG buck & 2 doe's & very nice to see, I know there building about a mile down the road, Behind that area is woods so maybe everything is just trying to get away from the building??? They did not removed trees it was an open field to start with, So much for getting away from the building, I have my sweet BF building me another coop, Plus we just got done redoing all of the runs. So we have cutting & hammering going on here to.... I do have 2 Big dogs, there are house dogs, but enjoy being out side to, There yard goes right up to the chicken pens.... I leave them out as much as I can, But i am starting to think with it getting colder the dogs are in more and things are coming closer.
I am staying on the hunt, & bating my traps.
we haven't that many predators here, the chickens free ranged all day and sleep in their coop with the door open and dogs sleep near them....
