Thoughts and best practices .. older hens

Not that type of fattening them up. You should've known what I meant. What I meant by fattening them up which is a common term that means put more meat on their bones. Make sense?

They give me eggs and more important lot of love. I get attached to them with years, every year that i spend with them i love them more. So, when they get old, they are simply old friends :) and they live their days 🥰
 
You can take your older hens and butcher them and can them in jars after you cut them up. The meat is tender as it has been pressure canned. Use it in casseroles or soups, very good. I take the skins off so there isn't fat when you can them.
