Hello, Just wondering what all your guys thoughts are when it comes to breeding for resistince In chickens against MG.
Actually most of the respiratory diseases like MG and bronchitis will have multiple strains in different parts of the country, and can even mutate into a different strain after affecting your flock, so that is why it is so hard to vaccinate. If you don't have birds tested to know which strain of bronchitis your chicken has, you may vaccinate against the wrong one.Mycoplasma gallisepticum from what I know is the most common strain.
