I use a bench grinder no pain and it coterizes at the same time so no blood.

That sounds like a very effective and humane way to manage your flock! Good on you and thanks for the tip. Would love to see a video posted if you can.

The thing with a dog nail clipper is it’s not stout enough for a grown cocks spurs and can actually pop the spur off. I’ve tried the heavy duty ones and won’t use them again. Another way is to use a hacksaw
with a rough blade. Rub bar soap on the saw teeth first and you’ll get an easier cut. I’ll stick to my mini grinder,

.......Using a double cutting side dog nail clipper will cut them just fine....then round them off with a dremmel sandpaper roll....easy fix

yes I do that’s why you don’t rush it, you do a little at a time. Painless and you have a nice clean trim
