Thoughts on these breeds?

as someone who has had both i say get a buff Orrington if you want a kind smart chicken that lays amazingly but if you want Americana they are kind smart and lay for me every other day and the eggs are blue

They were asking if they should buy an Ameraucana, not an EE. In my experience (which everyone’s is different) Ameraucanas are sweeter than the standard hatchery “Americana“ (Easter Egger). Never owned one myself, but have know many who have and my Ameraucanas beat them personality wise ten fold.
