Thoughts on this chicken tractor.

Hey!
I know it's small, but What do you think about this chicken tractor for a few silkies? They can free range while I'm in the yard, & they all sleep in a little pile..

It is really small. Did you see the nest box-- looks tiny. But it's difficult to get perspective. And the perch is really low. I think you could fit in about 3 silkies. If that's all you ever wanted, this would be fine. I just don't see how another bird could squeeze in there, though on that perch. On the up side, it does look easy to clean and maintain, and it is cute.

I would cut a big vent at the top, to keep it cooler, as you're in CA. In the back wall, up at the peak of the roof.

i dont think my silkie would even go up in to the house they end up sleeping on ground under the house

Bigger is better. If you can operate a hammer or a drill for screws, you can copy any design for less money, and have pride in what you did. Ya I think its cute, but big money for very little. Just my .02..
