Thoughts please

I picked your "hen" out as a rooster by the 16 week picture because of the hackle and saddle feathers.
After looking at all the pictures I had a thought. You have mixes and they look like they will have two different types of combs. From what I have been reading, there is a good chance that the roosters carry different genes for egg color.
The rooster with the smaller (pea type) comb may carry the blue egg gene which he could pass to his daughters or if mated with brown egg layers could produce olive eggers.
You can have fun experimenting with him.

catching "her" and checking the vent at this age should also tell me whether or not it is a rooster, right? small and circular boy, wide and oval shape girl?

Yes as everyone has said. Might be hard to believe but both are males.
Individuals develop at different rates.

I'm sure if you got more chicks of this cross there will be different pattens etc to these two when they where young.

You have two pretty roosters there. If you are still in disbelief, one way to be sure is to get a DNA test done. I'm not sure what is available in your country but here in Australia all you do is collect a couple of feathers from the bird and mail them to the lab. It's really cheap too, only $17.

.That is cheap!!!

I just thought I would post an update. As of today the chicken in question is 40 weeks old and finally crowed. I had hopes that it would be a hen. The tail not being a true sickle tail like others I have had in the past just threw me.
