Thoughts?

Here is Lucy. She is a crested living with 3 other girls. Any thoughts on what kind of treatment she should get? This started happening less than a week ago. There is no fighting between the 4 girls. I think this is happening when they have their moody female moments in the pool. She is not sick or injured in any other way.

Do the girls mount each other in the pool?

I have heard this is very bad for crested ducks
I would just keep her separate until someone more knowledgeable replies

Yes. Usually only with fresh pool water. However I'm not there all day to watch.

Ducks go wacko with clean water... I've just heard that mating is very hard for cresteds because their whole crest can be torn off.

Ya they do. They all grab each other, generally on the neck more so than her crest. My schedule this past week was super crazy & their routine was messed up a little. I put some Blu-Kote on it hoping to keep the others away.
