What type combs do they have? It is hard to discern, but they look almost rose combed. Not barred rock, but I am uncertain as to what they are. Dominiques? I would tend to lean towards 5 cockerels and 3 pullets, but would not bet the ranch on that.

I'm not all that sure.. I'll try and get a picture of it in the morning. They're not very sweet, never have been so I doubt I'll get a great one... but I'll try!

I agree with the others and am not certain they are barred rocks, either. The stance/carriage seem off to me.

to me they look like a mix of a rose on some and straight on others....:/

That almost looks like a pea comb to me. Strange.

they still ALL have different combs... 5 of them are getting a greenish tail feather in... so I'm assuming that means rooster... but they're 4 months old... and still NONE of them crow... WEIRD!!

ooh... and my 8 week old chicks that I believe are roos have bigger gobbler's then the big roos!!! and I know at least 1 is a roo of the big ones cause I caught him on my big hen
