Three eggs hatched early...should the others hatch early too?

Thanks! Yeah, I ended up taking them out early because there were so many! I think the grand total that hatched this time was 40!!!!! (39 or 40, they moved to much and I can't remember exactly how many went to lock down, I think 42). I only have 2 that haven't hatched so far (don't think they will). One chick died this morning, but it was one that was stuck in his shell for a long time :( I did everything I could to save him/her, but he just didn't make it. There is one more that was struggling and seemed to have a foot that he couldn't bend, but he is hanging in there. He's been able to bend it and he seems to be much better :) I hope he can make it. He was also one that I tried to help out :( (He/She is the one I opened the incubator for). Other than those two, all the others are in excellent shape :) I'm so excited. I did NOT expect to have 40 hatch, especially when there were shipped eggs in the mix! I'll do pics later tonight. I have to get to work :)

Here's the pics :) Husband dumped out the incubator...THREE eggs were left. A small egg was stuck inside another broken egg shell. It's chick was half way formed, another was half way formed and the other just never pipped :(

I don't have a clue what they are but they are lovely. Congratulations

That's good to know! Hopefully at least a few will hatch :)

The ebay listing says: flock includes Ameraucana (Aracuna), Bantam (Feather Legged and Standard), Barred Rock, Black Australorp, Black Langshan, Buff Orpington, California White, Copper Maran, Gold Sex Link, Iowa Blue, Production Red, Salmon Favorelle, Silver Gray Dorking, and Welsummer birds.
I got 12 eggs from ebay, so I'm not sure what I got. Most eggs look different, so it should be a good mix. The others are just a mix of different types. The roosters in that flock are Ameraucana, Rhode Island Red and a black rooster from McMurrary hatchery, but he wasn't sure what kind. As you can tell, I'm not really picky :) I just want all different looking chickens, lol.

Okay, so this is the breed they are supposed to be! lol I have to dig through old postings to see what they are supposed to be

I know there is one feather legged Bantam. I am pretty sure there are some production reds and ameraucana's. The rest have me confused. I think I'm getting addicted to hatching though...I'm already looking for more eggs!

I put an unwilling broody (normally she's willing) on a batch of duck eggs. the nest box is a large planter bucket with a lid and plenty of air holes. I will let her off the nest for 15-20 min a day so she can eat and poo (they hold it and go once a day when broody) I have done this before. I need a break from incubator.

I don't know why, but I'm on an incubator kick! I don't have any hens big enough to lay. I just love watching the eggs develop! I order a batch of turken, frizzles and all other sorts of crazy looking chickens off ebay for the next go round

I hope some of them will hatch. It will be my first time using only shipped eggs, but I'm getting around 36, so maybe!
