I have a chick that sneezes a bunch. She also has wet looking stains around her beak and down her front. I listen to her lungs and I cant hear anything. She eats and drinks normal and runs around. see photo.

This has been going on for a couple of weeks. Her sister we got at the same times does not sneeze or has stains.

Thanks

If it were a respiratory disease such as infectious bronchitis or MG, it would seem that her flockmate would also be showing signs. I would look at dust in the bedding or the feed irritating her nostrils. Make sure they have good air circulation, and no wet spots where water is spilling and creating mold.

If you see bubbles in her eyes or crusts, then you may want to get some Terramycin eye ointment and apply it twice a say. Tylan 50 injectable, a cattle medicine, can be give orally as an antibiotic 1/4 ml by mouth 2-3 times daily for up to 5 days. That would treat MG infection.

We use : https://healthistraw.com/ for bedding. She is so little I don't know how I could give her Tylan Orally. Can I just stick her beak in a spoon of it till she drinks some? Haven't had much luck with that. She's to little for a shot which works wonders. I am going to give them wood shavings tonight and see if she gets better.

I would hold her and open her beak, give her a drop orally, let her close her beak and swallow, then repeat. Give 1/4 or 0.25 ml 3 times a day.

I will! Its our first Silkies and her sister is a lot bigger and has been with her the whole time without any sneezing.

Quick question, She is still sneezing and wet. Acts perfectly normal besides that. She maybe sticking her beak to far into the water and getting water in her nose.

Are her nostrils normal looking? Sometimes chickens will get feed into the nostril and get irritated or plugged, and they can be sensitive to things in the environment.
