How sad. I came across this post and read everyone's messages. It's probably better that this little one went this soon and didn't have to suffer...I know that this doesn't make it any easier for you.

I keep reading posts where people are talking about McMurray's birds being DOA or deformed. I've gotten birds from My Pet Chicken twice (one group last May and one group of 10 about a week ago) and only had 1 die (about a week after I got my first shipment, so I don't blame MPC). Sounds like McMurray isn't starting the year off good with their breeding and hatching. Wonder what's going on. No one is complaining about MPC!

I'm so sorry that this lil' fella died but was better to go to chicken heaven than to probably try and live the way it was living. I personally would get ahold of McMurry and give them 'what for'. I see that as blatant negligence and major mishandling on their part. Makes one wonder if they are not working on a new breed for Tyson!!
