That’s a few examples of the others plus our silver phoenix and a tsc pullet that was called Amerucana but I’m saying EE . The Sumatra behind the phoenix roo is the roo (I hope) the other two are pullets I’m guessing 2134E9D1-B3DB-4602-8CEB-A4750568F887.jpeg

I'm following, as I have a surprise mystery-gender Sumatra chick and I don't really even know what clues to look for with this breed. Mine is only 6 weeks and I can't guess yet, but would love more pictures as yours grow, it will help me identify the gender of mine as well!

I will definitely be adding more photos as I go!! I should mention this weekend they are officially 21 weeks which means it’s time to catalog and number each bird and in the process I use my phone for pictures and as a backup in case the “chicken log😄” gets lost as it’s paper…..I’d love to see your little mystery bird and see if I can help!

Here's my little Sumatra, Lucky, 6 weeks old.
I’m going to GUESS he’s a boy based on his tail and zooming in on what saddle feathers he has and they appear to be pointed as a pullet would be rounded they hold their tails a little higher but these are the hardest breed to sex, after talking to other breeders the only fool proof way is to wait until they’re four or five months old….you have no idea how many times I was told to hurry up and wait lol …. Again this is just a guess but either way a lovely bird!

I appreciate your input! I am leaning that way also but yeah... It's really hard to tell. However if it's a boy he really will be "Lucky" because he will be our only one, therefore we may be able to keep him. And he'll have 9 ladies. Lucky boy!
