Three month turkey missing a leg

Three month old missing a leg fine at bedtime next morning couldn’t stand picked it up and one of it’s legs is missing it still eats and drinks and seems fine and alert will it survive or should I cull it.

I don’t know the leg is just gone. Just a swollen ball left, high up against it’s body. tissue is dark red but no blood.

Also I couldn’t find the leg. In an outside run, chainlink 4x6 kennel covered with chicken wire all sides and top, and covered on top with a tarp against rain and sun.

Can you put him in a clean crate, wash the wound with saline. It sounds like a big wound, is there a flap?

You asked a practical question : turkey missing a leg and can it survive without it. So the answer is, yes, it will survive okay with one leg as long as you care for the wound and infection doesn't kill the bird.

No just a ball of red tissue about the size of a small meatbal. I have cleaned it and put it in a dog carrier with food and water and it ate and drank wate.

It sounds like a racoon reached through the fencing and pulled its leg off.
