Three week old chick suddenly can not stand on her feet....help??

One of my three week old chicks that we hatched out, suddenly cannot stand. I noticed this a couple of hours ago, but checked on her again and she was laying on her side. I put a couple of small meal worms in front of her and she ate them. She is kept with four other chicks, who appear to be normal as of now. She also is cheeping and seems healthy but very tired and is sitting in my lap right now. Any advice is so appreciated and besides her, I'm wondering if this might affect the other little chicks.

Can you get the chick drinking some water? I would use SaveAChick in the water or get some Poultry NutriDrench and give 1 ml plus get it drinking by dipping it’s beak. Is the chick in a brooder?

She was in a brooder. But has been snuggling with me the last hour or so. I used a syringe to give her water with a touch of Corrid in it and then gave her a bowl of plain water bc she is drinking a lot of water!!! She just can’t stand up. Her poop was runny and had a touch of red to it, but it didn’t look like blood, it was more like little globules of red. I plan on isolating her tonight. Any ideas? Could this be cocci?

Have these chicks been out of the brooder for day play time in the run? Or have you taken them outside on the soil? Have they been exposed to older chickens? Have they been anywhere where this chick could have consumed something contaminated off the ground such as pesticides or fluids leaking from machinery?

If the answer is no on all those questions, perhaps the problem with this chick is a simple vitamin deficiency. It can happen suddenly, and after supplying the vitamins, the chick can return to normal just as quickly.

I would give Poultry Nutri-drench, maybe double up on the dose for the first two days, and regular doses for a week longer. The specific vitamins are B complex, B2, and vitamin E if you have them on hand.

But if the chicks have come into contact with the soil at any point, it would be a very good idea to give them all a round of Corid to be safe.
