We have a 3yo marans hen and a 3yo faverolles hen. They're both in good shape, laying eggs, eating and drinking. The marans has splashy, watery brown poo with no visible sign of worms, the faverolles has normal poo. Their run is dry. They eat Kalmbach layer and some Kalmbach scratch. They get a bit of probiotic daily. They free range 1-2 hours per day. Nobody is sneezing, no watery eyes. They did have a slice of homemade sourdough bread last night. She has had loose stools on and off for a couple of weeks. We recently removed a flock block from the coop because they were over eating it and ignoring their food. The marans is super downy and fluffy and she does drink a lot because she's warm.

I don't have a nearby chicken vet to do a stool sample. Should I worm them, just in case? What else could it be?

Thank you for any help! We're moving littles into the coop and I don't want to start dealing with a bunch of sick babs, too

Can you post recent pictures of poop? have you noticed any lash egg material, or soft shell eggs? What color is her comb? Have you started feeding them anything new recently?

I'll try to get a photo of the poop, it's hard as they're on sand in their run. Her eggs are beautiful. She's laying nearly daily and her shells are hard. Her comb is it's normal red. The only thing they ate recently that's not "normal" is a chunk of homemade sourdough bread.

I will say not every poop is watery, but her overnight ones are for sure, but her daytime poops vary. I'm going out again with them tonight, I'll try to get a poo photo.
