Throwing up?

I don’t know if this is a behavior or emergency, but I was holding my chicken in my arms, and it started to throw up or spit? Can someone tell me why?

Was her crop full? How tightly were you holding her? Maybe she had just gotten done eating and drinking?

Betting she had a crop full of water and you 'squeezed' it.
Best not to touch crop area when picking up bird, they can drown if that fluid if aspirated.
