Throwing up?

It was my understanding that chickens could not throw up... but I just watched a hen have a watery vomit? She has been laying great, no signs of any external parasites, acting like her spunky self... it almost just looked like water came out, then she went about her business. I can check her crop in the morning, but I was wondering with the heat of it could just be drinking too much water, or if I should be worried. Thank you!

Yes, they will drink a lot of water when it's hot and vomit some up afterward. Mine do it too.

Thank you for the knowledge, I've been noticing this in my flock for a while, but my younger siblings just watched it happen and are asking if it is normal.
