Midnight was grazing on his land when a large cougar jumped out from the bushes. Midnight raced around fighting the cougar as it tried to bite him around the neck. He swung his neck around and reared then bucked. Midnight looked at the cougar and noticed foam coming from the cougars mouth he instantly knew the cougar was rabid. He continued to buck, fight and kick the cougar until he got the cougar under him he reared and stomped on the cougar and killed it but as he brought his foot down the cougar bit him. He knew he was in danger...

Misty, who was usually away (from her herd) and exploring, heard Midnight's frantic neigh and the cougar, so she ran up to him, but not to close, for she was very coshes of stallions.
