tibetan mastiff question

I hear Tibetan Mastiff makes awesome guarding dogs (For animals) , I would like to hear some personal experience and opinions about them. Are they as good as Great Pyrenees?

Absolutely beautiful dogs. I've heard they're great family dogs but also EXTREMELY expenssive. I've seen pups range in the $1500-2000 range.

TM's are more a home/property guardian type breed. Im sure livestock could be guarded within that definition too, however they can be very people aggressive so much more a liability than a traditional LG breed. I would look elsewhere.

Also their coat requires a lot of care.
