Hi everyone, I live in the woods, in PA where ticks are HORRIBLE.. ive gotten so many off me and my ducks already, thing is I just got lymes last week and want to no if these ticks can hurt or spread diseases to my ducks and chickens??

I would guess that the answer to fowl getting Lyme disease is: yes.
Maybe contact your state agricultural university or Center for Disease Control (CDC) in Atlanta, GA, USA for a better (correct) answer.
I have had symptoms three times and taken the antibiotic each time.

You need some chickens, or so you have some?
I let one of my flocks free range and they eat ticks all day. All summer I've only found one on myself and none yet on my kids. I'd like to give the chickens credit for that lol

If you feel ill after antibiotic treatment for Lyme PLEASE find an LLD (Lyme Literate Doctor )!!!
My story is heartbreaking. My daughter was misdiagnosed for years. Now she has neurological encephalopathy from chronic Lyme Disease. She never got the rash so she carried the spiroketes for years. The only body system not affected is her heart. Please do not take a single tick bite lightly.

I know i talked this through with my doctor and everything should be fine, only 2 weeks left with antibiotics, but i almost did get wrongly diagnosed after a hospital trip after coming back from virginia, they did many tests, and even did the lyme test but the doctors NEVER ordered it so they didn't test it they brushed it aside and said i was dehydrated. after 2 weeks of horrible headaches, stomach aches, and body ache, i went back to the hospital after finding 2 very faint red circles that my niece noticed and i found out about couple days later i DID have lymes, im worried that my ducks cant get it because i was never educated about anything other than humans getting it, which makes me nervous.

My dogs have. So do my cats. Most doctors today do not believe that anyone needs more than a few weeks of antibiotics. If you continue to be sick they tell you you have lupus or fibromyalgia or ms or something else. If that happens don't hesitate to get an LLD to give you a second opinion before you accept the first doctors diagnosis and treatment. So many people are labeled eith a misdiagnosis. Don't let it happen to you.
