If you have any tie dye shirts you made or bought list them on here and put a pic. Put beside them (bought) or (made).
I'll have to take some pics of mine. I am making another one soon. Blue and orange.

I wish you had posted this yesterday! We made tie dye shirts with all the kids at the daycare but we sent all of them home this afternoon. Maybe if they come in wearing them soon I can get pics for ya. I think they turned out really well and we did them all in the typical swirl pattern.

Oooh. I love Tie Dye shirts. I used to own 35 store bought ones.. Still have my first tie dye some where in the house. DH keeps throwing it away and I dig it out. It has so many holes in it you cant wear it with out another shirt under it. I told DH Ive had that Tie Dye longer than I have had him.. It stays.. Maybe I can get pics of some of my surviving tshirts soon..

you mean there are hippies somewhere other than Eugene, OR?

Greetings to all. I just joined this site and I found this interesting. And reading your discussions on tie dye shirts catches my attention. With my next visit I can show you pics of my tie dye shirts. This is all for now.

In true hippie style, I plan on growing plants this year to make natural dyes for t-shirts. Many vegetables and flowers can be crushed and boiled to release dyes, and I;'m excited to do some research on which ones are the most colorful. I also know that you can "stamp" flowers like violets onto clothes. Spread them out face down on your shirt, and press them hard with a hammer, brick, etc. I have Johnny Jump-ups blooming all year, and I might do that to an old pair of khakis to try it out.
