Tiered brooder

Looking for a way to increase brooding space for young chicks (I have other places for older chicks) and saw this

Anyone know if it would work as multiple brooder and if they do, any ideas on how to go about making it into that?

I like the idea. We have some plastic shelving units with plastic grid shelves that I have looked at and thought the same thing! The particle board shelf would be a minus for bird poop, to me.
