Erm.... well there are a few options, rehoming, taking to butcher to slaughter for me, giving to wildlife shelter to feed the eagles, give to someone else to butcher, butcher myself, or get a batchlor flock.

Yeah, it would be, I’ve been lucky I haven’t had to slaughter a bird yet. Rehoming was hard enough. I can’t imagine just how much harder emotionally butchering would be.

but theyre differnt types of hard
rehoming would be hard especially if theyve imprinted on you, and butchering would probably be scary for the bird

That’s supposed to be only if you do it wrong. Holding them upside down calms them down then you have to be quick and fast. Makes it pretty much painless. Though I’ve never personally butchered a bird.
