I know each individual Guinea starts to lay at their own time. But mine are 10 months old and I still have no eggs yet. How old was your Guineas when they started laying? And is this unusual?

They are definitely old enough to lay, and some young flocks start earlier in the season. I'm out in CA, and my youngest flock (1st timers like yours) always starts earlier than the other older flocks I have. You could cheat and put a light in their coop on a timer that gives them a few extra "daylight" hours in the mornings. That may trigger them to start laying...

And right now they need to be on a layer feed with 16% or higher protein in it, and free choice access to oyster shell.

I dont know much about birds, but I do know Easter is when they start laying from their winter break. Hence the easter eggs, not sure of the bunny thing!

  5. Mine are 10 months old, too, but haven't started laying yet. I'm in NC. Will post when they do!
