Time to Build Permanent Coop!!!

Well I have been out of town for the last 4 weekends but finally got a chance to work on the coop yesterday!!! Got the windows framed in, most of the roof trusses in! Almost ready for paint. I will post some pictures when the sun comes up.

Hey Nigel,

We have chickens already. We starting raising them about 10 years ago. My wife would know the exact breeds, lol. I know we have some Americanas, Australorp, Welsummer and Wyandotte's I think!! We use to let them free range in back yard but put a swimming pool in last summer so we had to lock them up. They have been in a make shift coop for about a year now. The wife wanted a coop as the center piece to yard after we put the pool. Soon the will get to move in to their new chicken Palace!

Yesterday’s progress!

Didn’t get a whole lot done today! 😊 Sunday’s are my football days!
Almost done with the roof framing. Just have to gab my two end trusses and install the facia. Then the wife will paint everything. Once everything has a coat of paint I will install the roof, siding, trim and wire. Getting closer!!!

The painting has taken way longer then expected. Didn’t get to work on the coop last couple weeks. Finally started up again yesterday! Spent half the day running around getting roof material and new windows. Ran into a problem with the existing windows I had, so I had to swap them out last minute. Good thing it happened before I put the siding on. Put in the truss blocks and windows yesterday. Going to work on the roof toady.
