Time to get more Chickens

Well all my chickens died last month

but it is now time to start thinking about getting a new batch. So far i am thinking about Austrolorps, Susex and i need a 3rd breed. The breed needs to be quite, nice, winter hardy, and lay eggs for a long time. Any ideas would be great.

Orps, barred rocks or ameraucanas would be a good choice.

Rhode Island Reds, Buff Chantecler, and isa browns

I have heard that rhode island reds are aggresive and don't like to be picked up or anything. Is that true because that is something that is really important to me.
