Hi! For the last month, only one of my 8 EE girls has been laying, but today the rooster resumed mating with another girl. Does this mean I might start getting more eggs soon? They are 10 months old. I’ve also have 3 of my 11 month old girls start molting. Is that normal? We have no lights and no heat in the coop. Thanks in advance!

One of my EEs started laying after taking the winter off, so I'm also hoping that the others will get going too. Soon. With no light in your coop during the winter, egg production will almost grind to a halt.
If you set up a small light on a timer, so the birds get 16 hours of light daily, starting early in the morning, you will do better next winter. Don't bother now, but next fall.

Every year this happens.
My Muscovy's start to resume mating and withing a couple days to a week I start getting eggs! So you just might be in luck! My girls started laying 1 week ago!
