Tiniest amount of blood in single chick poop. Treat for coccidiosis?

Seems a little excessive for intestinal shedding but not out of the realm of possibility. Coccidiosis poop (if bloody) looks very different.

Keep an eye on things but I think it's ok unless you're seeing a lot of this, or more importantly, lethargic behavior with chicks puffed up for no reason.
After the poop I posted yesterday morning, we monitored every single turd we could find all day. Everything looked good.

This morning I found another one, same as the photo. Thinking I should go ahead with Corid at this point? I'm so afraid of it hurting the Silkie chicks, but I'm starting to feel really uncomfortable with the possibility of coccidiosis. Everyone is still looking and acting healthy.

Personally I wouldn't but only because I've dealt with it before and nothing you've posted indicates there's an issue.

However if you'd feel more at ease with treating them, it's generally considered harmless (though I don't have Silkies and don't know if that makes any difference). Make sure to do the full course of treatment so you don't build up resistance in the parasites and withhold any additional vitamins until after it's completely done.

Will do! Thanks for your help. :)

@rosemarythyme We're on day 3 of Corid, and I'm still getting intestinal shed in 1-2 poops each morning. Everyone's still acting fine. Any other thoughts or things I should be doing?
Nope, just finish the course of treatment and then if you're concerned with the thiamine issue, you could do a dose of B vitamins after the Corid treatment is completely finished.
