Tiny bird

I just acquired this bird from someone and all I know is it is some kind of tiny quail. It has a dark grey with light brown body and a red underside. It has dirty white wing feathers and white on its face and throat. You can’t tell from the picture but it has blue eyes. The person before me had it for about 7 months. Here’s a couple of pictures couldn’t get a body shot because of the camera. If anyone can tell me about the breed and color that would be great.

A body shot would help as well as a way to judge size.

Sounds from the coloring like it could be a male.

Thats tough.. I would say tuxedo coturnix.. But its just a guess.. Head doesnt look like a button ...

I think it is a chinese painted quail, AKA Button Quail!

That's why we need to see the size. It could be a tuxedo or a tibetan coturnix quail. Possibly even a cross. Without knowing the size it is hard to tell.
