I ordered eggs from ebay, first batch I got 5 out of 6, this time I'm getting (one?) out of 12 (most were not fertile). I put all under a broody hen. One of the eggs which is small, definitely has a baby internally pipping in it, after I saw how small its beak was in the egg I decided I'd pip a hole for it. Just big enough to see the TINY little beak, I highly doubt it could have pipped on its own! I really hope this little guy hatches fine! I got an ok picture, my hands are actually small this egg and duckling make it look big! I just cant get over it being so small!

Be prepared to help this one hatching. It's best when it does it on it's own, but you may have to help. It should be out within 48 hours after piping. So, if it is not out by then, then you should help it. Watch the membrane so it does not shrink wrap on the little baby.

I don't know, it's from a mixed flock. It's got a grey bill and it's a yellowy grey color....perhaps harlequin mix?

The little baby didn't make it through the night.

It hadn't absorbed it's insides but had absorbed its yolk....kinda weird. It was very cute though, I'm thinking a harlequin mix.
